Thank you for your interest in our internship program. Internships in our Washington, DC and South Carolina offices offer college and post-graduate students an opportunity to work with Senate staff. In Washington, D.C., our internships are paid unless the applicant instead chooses to recieve school credit, and are designed primarily for students who have completed at least two full years of college undergraduate coursework. The application process for state office internships is the same as that for our DC office.

Please note that it is the responsibility of the intern to find housing.

In Washington, we offer three summer internship sessions. Each session will last approximately four to five weeks. Our deadline requires the Application Packet to be received by February 28.

We also offer semester-long internships. Spring internships begin mid-January and end mid-May. Our deadline requires spring applications to be received by November 15. Fall semester internships begin in September and end mid-December. Our deadline requires fall applications to be received by July 15.
