Senator Scott thanks first responders in 9/11 tribute video

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Senator Tim Scott (R-South Carolina) was in the Lowcountry to produce a 9/11 tribute video to first responders.

Standing in front of a Charleston Fire Department truck, the Republican lawmaker spoke of the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001 and discussed the sacrifices and strength of the heroes who responded to the chaotic scene.

"The horrific events that were meant to weaken our democracy only strengthened our resolve," Sen. Scott stated.

The senator went on to thank today's police officers, firefighters and EMTs for their for dedication and loyalty to keeping us safe.
