PHOTO RELEASE: Senator Scott Makes 11th Stop on his National Opportunity Tour

GREENSBORO, NC—On Friday, Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) was joined by North Carolina Congressman Mark Walker (R-NC) and White House Director of Urban Affairs and Revitalization Ja’Ron Smith on his 11th National Opportunity Stop in Greensboro, North Carolina.

They visited North Carolina A&T University, the largest public Historically Black College and University (HBCU), and Core Technologies, a recently relocated business in the heart of one of North Carolina’s 252 Opportunity Zones.

Senator Scott and Congressman Walker tour Core Technology a plastic injection molding solutions provider for the biological pharmaceutical, medical, heavy truck, electronics, consumer, and automotive markets. Core Technology moved into an Opportunity Zone and has partnered up with North Carolina A&T to hire students and expand access to quality jobs for those who live in the community.

As part of his National Opportunity Tour, Senator Scott has also visited: Iowa, New Hampshire, Florida, Massachusetts, Colorado, Arizona, North Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC, and his home state of South Carolina.
