PHOTO RELEASE: Senator Scott Makes Opportunity Tour Stop in Aurora, Colorado

AURORA, COLO. – U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R–SC) stopped in Aurora, Colorado this afternoon as part of his national Opportunity Tour.

During his visit, Scott held a roundtable discussion about his Investing in Opportunity Act (IIOA), passed in last year’s tax code overhaul. IIOA paved the way for the creation of Opportunity Zones, communities designated by local officials as areas of opportunity. The roundtable was hosted at Jubilee Coffee with government officials from the city of Aurora, Colorado Economic Development, and small business owners. Representatives from Senator Gardner (R–CO) and Rep. Coffman’s (R–CO) offices were also in attendance.

This was Senator Scott’s seventh stop on his national Opportunity Tour, with previous stops in South Carolina, Florida, Washington, DC, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Iowa.
