Senator Scott Votes in Support of Secretary of Transportation

WASHINGTON-U.S. Senator Tim Scott released the following statement after voting in support of Elaine Chao for Transportation Secretary. Chao was confirmed by the Senate 93-6:

“Our transportation department needs a strong leader well-versed in the challenges we face, and Elaine Chao fits that description to a ‘T’. She is well respected across the aisle, and is the perfect choice to build bridges in putting together an infrastructure package. I am confident that she will be a visionary leader and help ensure our nation’s federal transportation systems are meeting the needs of the American people.”
