Senator Tim Scott Confirmed to Speak at CPAC 2016

WASHINGTON– U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) is scheduled to speak at CPAC 2016.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to return to CPAC and once again be surrounded by such inspiring conservative activists,” said Senator Scott. “The future of America lies in our conservative principles that seek to empower people and protect the greatness of our country. I am confident that our brightest days are ahead, and I look forward to joining this year’s conference.”

Senator Scott’s Opportunity Agenda is focused on conservative solutions guaranteeing a high quality education for all of our nation’s students, ensuring access to job training and workforce development programs, and creating a government that empowers the American people, not Washington DC. He has a particular interest in cutting red tape in Washington, stopping Common Core, and protecting life. He has served on the Senate Finance Committee, the Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, and the Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions.

“We are honored Senator Scott will join us at the start of CPAC with an address from the heart, about his life and why America’s leadership is more important now than ever before,” said American Conservative Union (ACU) Chairman Matt Schlapp.

CPAC 2016 will be held March 2-5 at the Gaylord Hotel National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. The theme, “Our Time is Now” is taken from a speech by Ronald Reagan.
