Senator Tim Scott Launches 2015 Community Office Hours Series

Charleston, SC – Continuing a commitment to providing South Carolinians with the highest-quality constituent services possible, U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) today announced the launch of his office’s 2015Community Office Hours series. Kicking off next week, the year-round series will start with eleven events throughout South Carolina. In each community, Senator Scott’s staff will meet with residents and offer assistance with federal issues in their own communities.

“One of the most important ways I represent South Carolina in the U.S. Senate is to support the people of our state when they need assistance dealing with a federal agency. Whether it’s getting an answer in a timely manner or ensuring they are treated fairly, my office works every day to help resolve problems and get South Carolinians the information they need regarding federal agencies like Social Security, Medicare, the IRS or Veterans Affairs. I want South Carolina families to use my office as a resource, whether or not they can travel to one of my regional offices in North Charleston, Columbia or Greenville.”

Residents seeking assistance should bring all pertinent information and documents, such as claim numbers and correspondence that they have received from the federal agency involved.

For additional information, residents can call one of Senator Scott’s regional offices at (843) 727-4525 (Lowcountry), (803) 771-6112 (Midlands) or (864) 233-5366 (Upstate).
