Senator Tim Scott Speaking at Morehouse College in Atlanta TODAY

Atlanta – Today, the first Monday of Black History Month, U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), will speak to and meet with students at Morehouse College. Scott, one of only two African-Americans currently serving in the Senate, will discuss his path to the United States Senate, his Opportunity Agenda and answer questions from students on issues currently facing our country.
Senator Scott’s speech will be open to students from member schools of the Atlanta University Center Consortium, including Morehouse College, the Morehouse School of Medicine, Spelman College and Clark Atlanta University. Senator Scott was invited to speak at Morehouse’s historic Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel by the Republicans of Morehouse College.

Senator Scott regularly speaks to students and in 2014 he visited each of South Carolina’s eight historically black colleges and universities. Last February, he also spoke to students at Howard University in Washington, DC.
