Report: Charleston among ‘Fastest-Growing Places in the U.S. in 2022-2023’
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — If it feels like Charleston just keeps on getting more and more populated, you aren’t wrong!
U.S. News & World Report has compiled its list of the “Fastest-Growing Places in the U.S. in 2022-2023,” and The Holy City made the cut.
“The fastest-growing cities in the country are determined by the net migration of each metro area, which is measured by the growth or decline of the population over the past five years. The percent increase in that period of time is how U.S. News determines the metro areas where the most people are moving,” the publication explained.
Charleston slotted in at the 22nd spot, while Spartanburg ended up at No. 11.
Meanwhile, Myrtle Beach topped the entire list, sitting ahead of a trio of communities in Florida.
