Senator Tim Scott Attends Inaugural Opportunity Internship Fair
NORTH CHARLESTON – This week, U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) celebrated the success of the inaugural Opportunity Internship Fair. On Wednesday, Senator Scott addressed participating employers and students from Burke High School, Military Magnet Academy, North Charleston High School, and Senator Scott’s alma mater R.B Stall High School at the Cooper River Center for Advanced Studies.
The purpose of Opportunity Internships is to connect employers offering paid internships in South Carolina with students in Title I high schools in order to create pathways to viable career opportunities.
The Office of Senator Scott, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, and United Way Association of South Carolina co-sponsored the event.
